The Auto Level is a precision optical surveying instrument used to establish, transfer, and measure horizontal elevations.
Set Up the Tripod :Position the tripod on firm, stable ground.
Mount the Auto Level: Attach the Auto Level to the tripod using the 5/8-inch mounting screw.
Level the Instrument:
Use the three levelling screws to centre the circular bubble.
Turn two screws together to move the bubble left or right.
Use the third screw to bring the bubble to the centre.
The internal automatic compensator then provides a precise horizontal line of sight.
Focus the Eyepiece: Point the telescope toward a bright background.Rotate the eyepiece until the crosshairs appear sharp and black.
Aim at the Levelling Staff: Use the sighting guide to point the telescope toward the levelling staff.
Rotate the instrument using the horizontal tangent screw for precise alignment.
Take a Reading
Calculate Elevations
