Application

The HT8-1.2 Floor Sander will sand all types of wood flooring, including parquet, that require rapid sanding

Operation Instructions

Operating the Hiretech HT8-1.2 Floor Sander requires strict technique to avoid gouging your wooden floors. The most critical rule is to always tilt the machine back to lift the sanding drum off the floor before starting it, stopping it, or turning around

Machine Setup: Adjust the handle: Set the handle height so your arms are slightly bent when standing upright. Tighten the bracket firmly.

Attach the dust bag: Slide the exhaust tube into the bracket and securely tie or slide the dust bag into position.

Load the sandpaper: Loosen the clamp bar screws with a coin or screwdriver. Wrap your abrasive sheet tightly around the drum, tuck both ends under the clamp, and tighten it down firmly.

Manage the cord: Throw the power cable over your left shoulder to keep it safely behind the machine

Starting the Sander:

Move the sander to your starting spot.

Stand behind the machine and hold both handles.

Tilt the machine back by applying light downward pressure to lift the drum off the floor.

Push the power switch to the ON position

Allow the motor to reach full speed before moving

Sanding Technique:

Start moving forward first, then slowly ease the drum down to make contact with the timber.

Walk at a slow, steady walking pace in a straight line.

Let the machine do the work; do not push down or force it.

Tilt the drum up off the floor right before you reach the end of your forward pass.

Walk backward over the exact same path, lowering the drum again for the return pass.

Lift the drum before stopping or turning. Overlap each new path by about 3 inches (75mm)
