Hammer mills are used for crushing and grinding various materials into smaller pieces, including milling grain for animal feed, grinding maize, spices etc.
Feed the material into the hopper while the machine is running.
Maintain a consistent feed rate to avoid overfeeding
Monitor the output for the desired particle size
After starting the mill and letting the hammers reach full speed, feed the material consistently through the feed chute.
Reduce the feed rate if material backs up or comes out the gaps, and be prepared to change screens to adjust the grind size.
Never open the hammer mill while engine or motor is still running
Always make sure that the unit is unplugged before any work is to be carried out on the machine
Use in well ventilated area
This equipment creates dust. Wear a suitable mask.
Ear protection must be worn while using this equipment.
Eye protection must be worn while using this equipment.
